Although Jim appeared in a few films before, it was The Big Bang Theory that finally turned him into a Hollywood star. He is now one of the highest-paid TV comedy actors, taking home $900,000 for each episode. He came out in 2012 and wedded his partner Todd Spiewak in May 2017 after a 15 year relationship.
As the best friend of Sheldon Cooper, Leonard gets easily annoyed by his friend’s weird personality, but loves him all the same. Bernadette is definitely the tough one in the show. The short and squeaky-voiced microbiologist always makes you question yourself with her bitter sarcasm and her ability to get what she wants by bullying people who are much bigger than her. She married Howard, had two children back to back and handles herself very well.
Melissa went through difficulties with her real-life quest for motherhood, as revealed when she shared on social media about her struggles to have a baby and the miscarriage that hit her hard. After her struggles, Melissa and her husband Winston Rauch finally welcomed their baby girl Sadie into the world in December 2017.
Here we come to another member of the fun gang – Rajesh, the astrophysicist who is Howard’s best friend. He has trouble talking with women and is majorly obsessed with his kitten. Although he’d been romantically challenged for a while, he moved past that phase finally and had a few different relationships. But, unfortunately he is still a loner in the just-ended 11th season.
Kunal Nayyar, was born in London and raised in New Delhi, before moving to the US and landing the role of Raj in The Big Bang Theory. He is now on the list of the highest paid TV actors in the world. Apparently, Kunal is nothing like his character Rajesh when it comes to women. He’s married to fashion designer and former beauty queen Neha Kapur Nayyar.
This lovable loser made his debut in the second season as the owner of the comic book store, which became a regular haunt of the gang. He struggles financially regularly and ends up living with Howard and Bernadette as a babysitter. Recently, his book store business had boomed owing to the celeb effect.
Before playing Stuart in TBBT, Kevin had already made a name for himself in Hollywood. He worked with Spielberg in A.I. Artificial Intelligence in 2001 and played the role of Supernerd. Unlike Stuart in the show, Kevin doesn’t have money issues in real life. Quite the opposite in fact!
Emily made her appearance in season 7 as a sweet dermatologist and Raj’s girlfriend in a love triangle. She was totally fine with Raj’s dating another girl Claire while seeing her. Aside from her gorgeous looks, it’s Emily’s dark humor and love for anything horror that Raj finds irresistibly attractive.
Laura Spencer is an actress and writer, known for her roles in several hit shows. Unfortunately, if rumors are to be believed, it seems that Laura will not return to the show for a while. So, if you want to see her on TV, her roles in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Bones and Sleepy Hollow are definitely worth checking out.
If anyone could bring our genius Sheldon Cooper into line, it is his dearest mom Mary. Every time Leonard couldn’t handle Sheldon (and it’s a lot), it’s Mary that he always turns to for help. Mary Cooper has appeared on every season of the show so far and is a very fun addition.
